...can't seem to stay out of trouble...

Scott Stapp is at it again, or at least it seems that way....somehow reminds me of what Stryper went through at the end of their original days as a band, hitting it huge and then becoming rebellious in their decline....don't get me wrong here, I'm not defending domestic abuse, alcoholism, etc...but it makes me wonder in America when artists like Kid Rock & Snoop-Dogg commit & advocate crimes & unspeakable acts of indecency and no one cringes while their album sales climb, and when one dude who didn't even proclaim to be a Christian has some problems it's all over for him....kind of a double standard I think.

There's a lot of pain to be resolved...reading the news stories, its like there is an exulting over the fact that Stapp gets to be filleted again...

In a way, I feel for him.

I don't. It was over for this guy way before he started getting arrested because he acted like such a douche.

If a lot of people hate you BEFORE you start breaking the law, it's not going to get better after the fact.

Scott Stapp has problems. But then again, so does everyone else. His problems aren't unique to him, but his get noticed. I'm sure there is a Stapp watch somewhere on the internet for his haters to gather & wait for another train crash. That sucks. People hate him, hate Creed, but his/their influence on music was huge.

creed/stapp had no influence on music. period. their sound is ripped off from every hard rock band since zeppelin, and stapp's vocal stylings aren't unique in the least. this ridiculous argument that creed was important makes no sense. you like them, great. get over the fact that they don't matter and most people dislike them.

I feel for Stapp. What makes him more of a sinner/mistake-maker than anyone else? Don't like his music? Don't listen. Don't like hearing about his mistakes? Don't read the articles. His influence on music? I don't know/care. Liking a band/singer is totally subjective. Disliking a band/singer and obsessing on it-- is odd.
