Star Wars/Sci-fi, Post Modernism, & the popular television show Lost

If you're a fan of the show Lost and have any connection, mentally or spiritually, to the philosophy known as Post Modernism, or if you're a sci-fi geek, you've gotta read this. It might seem a little confusing if you've never seen the show, or it might make you wanna watch it.

The coolest thing is that you can watch the old episodes online with only a few commercials, around 40-45 minutes long, with nice resolution to boot.

The show really ticks people off, especially those who struggle to wrap their mind around post-modernism. Personally, I've struggled to enjoy the show, but it's getting easier to enjoy the many twists & turns, and the perceived ridiculousness of the show. For those who expect it to make "sense" in a scientific manner, good luck, as it seems all the rules have been thrown out the window. For those who don't like philosophical meanderings, good luck with that too. For those who insist that everything must fit inside a Star Wars mental model, an extra special good luck with that to you. For those who want to get "lost" in the show, it's easy once you just let go and enjoy the ride!

I love LOST as well. And I got the wife hooked :) The week to week this is a bummer though - I am almost tempted to not watch any of the next season so I can rent them and get 16 straight hours of LOST. But alas, I have no self control, and it is inevitable that I will sit, teeth clinched, for every episode...

By the way, do watch on ABC.com - their new media player rocks!
