Another picture from our recording sessions for the upcoming album HOME.

Okay, here's James jamin' up at Hillside while we spent many an hour recording drum tracks back during all that snow we had this winter. Hours upon hours later, and with much thanks and appreciation to our producer Dennis Clifton, you will be able to hear the title track HOME this weekend on Effect radio nation-wide. Listen & enjoy:)

Wow: I think the most amazing thing in life is when things finally "come together." I'm reminded of how much work it takes to have a good marriage, or family life, or a good classroom environment at school, or a successful "team," whether in sports, on the job, or at a church. Accomplishing something with a group of people is simultaneously the most difficult and yet rewarding experience that leaders go through in life. As I find myself in leadership situations on a variety of levels, I take this task seriously, sometimes too much so, and often hold the mirror up to myself and find myself lacking. Lacking in resources, in talent, in experience, in observable success (whatever that means...), lacking in time, money, etc...and the list goes on. What amazes me time and time again is how, by God's grace, we are able to accomplish much of anything. With all the limitations we face and without Him, we can truly do nothing of consequence, though He seems to have put within us a deep desire for excellence, for accomplishment, and for purpose. I find myself feeling frustrated, getting angry, complaining about all that I "lack," and finding it hard to "muster" up the positive, inspirational attitude necessary to lead others who are also consumed with their own fears, short-comings, and desire to succeed in life. That's when I realize that it's not my job to play God, not for myself, and not for those I lead. It's just my job to be content, to be faithful, and to be a model of that to those around me, not to get angry & disillusioned at what I perceive as success or failure, and to remember that God does not compare any of us to each other. He simply calls us to follow Him, exhibits long-suffering and patient love towards each of us, and longs for us to come together in Him and accomplish the purposes that He has for us, both as indivuals and in the families He's given us. Red-X is four guys who are trying to do that, and our first album comes out in June. Even if no one buys it, the fact that we made it means all the world to me. Hope you'll take a copy Home with you:) Thanks again boys.
